In the second quarter of 2022, the Books and Reference category on the Android platform in Saudi Arabia showed interesting trends. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

القرآن الكريم كامل بدون انترنت experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 34.5K at the end of March and peaking at 39.6K in early April. However, downloads saw a decline throughout May, reaching a low of approximately 5.3K, before stabilizing in June at around 7.5K. Active users followed a similar pattern, with a high of 360K in early April, dipping to 202K in early May, and then gradually increasing to approximately 244K by the end of June.

Al QURAN - القرآن الكريم maintained a relatively steady download rate, starting at 23K in late March and experiencing a slight dip in May. Downloads rose again to about 7.8K by the end of June. The app’s active user base saw minor fluctuations, beginning at 41K in late March, decreasing to 30K in late May, and ending the quarter at around 34K.

Quran Majeed – القران الكريم also displayed notable trends. Weekly downloads started at 21K in late March, dipped to around 4.7K in May, and rose again to 5.8K by the end of June. Active users showed a decline from 131K in late March to 91K in early May, before gradually increasing to 108K by late June. Revenue peaked at $264 in early April and saw a significant decrease in June.

Wattpad - Read & Write Stories showed a varied performance. Downloads surged from 1.3K in late March to over 24K by the end of May, before declining to approximately 3.9K in late June. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 30K throughout the quarter. Revenue peaked at $269 in late June.

Lastly, Ayah: Quran App saw a decrease in weekly downloads from 15.7K in late March to about 2K by the end of June. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 171K in late March, dropping to 133K in early May, and ending the quarter at around 137K.
